The Los Angeles Lakers sign Antawn Jamison.

In order to improve the bench from last season, the Lakers reached an agreement with Antawn Jamison to a 1 year deal for the veterans minimum.  Jamison played every game except one last season with the Cleveland Cavaliers and averaged 17.2 Points per game in 33 minutes.

Jamison is a capable scorer, he has averaged more than 15 points per game in at least 12 years of his NBA career, he will benefit from having players around him such as Steve Nash. Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum.  For the veterans minimum, Antawn Jamison is a low risk, high reward move.  Los Angeles now has a player at the small forward position that won't hesitate to shoot when open and it won't make lakers fans cringe when he shoots.  Another solid signing by Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak.
