The Houston Rockets upgraded their offer sheet to Jeremy Lin, from 19 million over three years to 25 million over the same amount of years, including 15 million on his final and third year. The Knicks now have three days to match the offer, they are expected to do so.

The Philadelphia 76ers have reached an agreement with center Kwame Brown, for 2 years, 6 million. It will be interesting to see Kwame play under Doug Collins again, Brown already faced part of his old demons by playing with Michael Jordan's Bobcats two seasons ago.

Elton Brand was amnestied by the Philadelphia 76ers early in the week and the Dallas Mavericks claimed him off amnesty waivers. The Mavs will pay 2.1 million of his contract, while Philly will pay 16.1 million.

Luis Scola got amnestied by the Houston Rockets. The Rockets felt it was a necessary move in order to be in position to trade for Dwight Howard and some of the worse contracts Orlando has.

The Dallas Mavericks let Brendan Haywood go with their amnesty clause and signed Chris Kaman. Not only is Haywood out of town, Ian Mahinmi was traded to Indiana for Darren Collison and Dahntay Jones.
