This one was a no contest, Walter Hodge scored 11 first half points and helped Virgin Islands get a 17 point lead at the break, however, things only for worse for Costa Rica in the 2nd half. They were down 17 at the break, and ended the game losing by 28.
Walter Hodge ended with 25 and Ivan Aska had 17. Kay Martinez had 16 for Costa Rica.
Panama 78 vs. Bahamas 70
Josimar Ayarza dominated in the scoring department and in the boards. He had 23 points and 11 rebounds, giving Panama a win they needed badly. Panama lead by 8 at the half, and also won the game by 8.
For Bahamas, Kentwan Smith scored 18
Rep. Dom 80 vs. Jamaica 64
Al Horford continued his impressive play by scoring 23 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, Dominican Republic has 2 wins and no defeats. Manuel Fortuna and Juan Coronado had 19 each, they helped Horford in the scoring department. Game was tied at half, but the Dominicans really went to another level in the 2nd half, they ended up winning by 16.
Samardo Samuels and Weyinmi Efejuku Rose scored 15 apiece and Jerome Jordan had 13 for Jamaica.
Puerto Rico 107 vs. Nicaragua 67
Puerto Rico had a 5 point lead at the end of 1st and outscored Nicaragua 34 to 13 in the 2nd quarter to expand their lead to 26, they finished the game winning by 40. David Huertas scored 23 points, Mike Rosario 22 and Alex Galindo had 13 for Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico won in basically every category, they won in assists 26-9, bench points 38-20 and points in the paint 50-34. This win gives Puerto Rico a ticket to the 2013 Fiba Basketball World Cup.
Vansdsell Thomas and Walter Solis had 15 apiece, Windell Sloan had 10 for Nicaragua.
