Brandon Roy wants to make a comeback.

Brandon Roy and his friend Will Conroy were on twitter on Friday, and they confirmed the rumors.  Roy is going to attempt to play in the NBA again after retiring last season, at age 27, due to cartilage deterioration. They even posted a picture of them working out:

Roy had a stellar (but short) career before his knees gave up on him. He was named the NBA 2007 Rookie of the year, he was the first Portland TrailBlazer to be named to an NBA All 2nd team since Clyde Drexler in the 91-92 season.  Roy averaged 19 points, 4.7 assists and 4.3 rebounds during his five NBA seasons.

I don't think this is the best move for Brandon, the Portland TrailBlazers medical staff told him to retire, they said it was too risky for him to keep playing and he might end up not walking, although the Blazers medical staff isn't exactly the most trusted staff.  I wish him all the best and hope he doesn't end up regretting his decision.
